This historic fabric commonly has areas of thinning, discoloration, stray threads, and it is common for holes and fabric thinning to be present throughout the first layer of fabric. Each jacket has multiple layers of cotton sari that is handstitched into intricate, one-of-a-kind patterns. This style of distressed fabric is intentional, celebrated for its age and historical wear, and these characteristics do not indicate a flaw or impact the overall function of the garment.
